If you follow our publications frequently, you probably know that Andorra not only has a wide range of leisure activities in winter. As we discussed in previous posts , in this small country you can also go trekking, relax in the Caldea complex (located near Escaldes d'Engordany), visit Naturlandia and go down the Tobotronc.

However, its offer does not end there: next July, a great show full of color, acrobatics and fun, known around the world, will be installed in Andorra for the fourth consecutive year . Do you know what we are talking about? Well, nothing more and nothing less than the Cirque du Soleil.

From Esquiades.com we do not want you to miss this great event in the country of the Pyrenees and for this reason we have created special packages of the show Scalada + entrance to Caldea . Here's all the details you need to know about Cirque du Soleil show in Andorra. Do not miss.

Cirque du Soleil en Andorra

What is the show Scalada from Cirque du Soleil?

Each year, the show of this company presents a different story, new and related to the essence and values of Andorra , to all the visitors who come to the representation . This year, Cirque du Soleil's work is about the deposit and indestructible sentimental relationship between two brothers, reflecting the importance of family in the country's culture.

The protagonists of the story will be separated in a dreamlike world, filled with strange creatures, with futuristic environments and unknown to the two brothers. The little girl in the family, invaded by a sense of curiosity and the spirit of adventure, will soon find herself lost in this dimension. And as it couldn't be otherwise, her brother is going to rescue her in this parallel universe, forcing her to face certain challenges.

The protagonists will need to know the difference between reality and fiction in order to be able to find themselves again and prove that their strong deposit is inseparable, regardless of the problems and surprises that may arise in their lives. Do you think they will meet again? To know in the end you have to go to see this incredible representation!

What will the show look like?

If the story already has you hooked, wait to know all the details of the show. First, the space where the play will take place is a kind of cube that will create a totally enveloping atmosphere. In other words, it is similar to a box with modules and large video screens that will transport you from Andorra to the imaginary world, and vice versa, depending on the scene.

When it comes to music, a live singer will mark the compass of history and an experience that goes beyond the purely visual. On the other hand, the wardrobe of the members of the Cirque du Soleil will be different from that of the protagonist of the story. In the case of the brother, the clothing will evoke a futuristic environment, while in the sister's, the costumes will be colorful, colorful and surreal.

Finally, and as a new feature this year, more group shows have been added , which adds a bit of difficulty to the work of acrobats. In short: a total of nine scenes are waiting for you in a place that will make you feel like never before. Are you ready to travel to a new world and immerse yourself in a sea of emotions?

At what time and where is it performed?

Okay, so you've come to the idea of what the Scalada show is and what it is about, and you don't want to miss it under any circumstances, right? Then, you must point to your agenda when the functions are performed: every day, from Tuesday to Saturday, July 2016 at 10:00 p.m. And, if you book your hotel pack with ticket on Esquiades.com, you will not have to worry about anything, because our seats are numbered.

This way you will be able to go quietly to the place where the show is performed, the day and time indicated in your confirmation voucher and dedicate yourself solely to enjoyment. Usually, half an hour before the show is animated, so we recommend that you go a little before 10 pm to take advantage too :-).

The Cirque du Soleil in Andorra will take place in the public car park of the Central Park, in the center of Andorra la Vella. The space will be almost completely covered in case the clouds decide to go and contemplate the incredible stunts of the show. Up to 5,000 people can enjoy the daily pass. What a wish!

What do Cirque du Soleil's offerings include on Esquiades.com?

As we said before, from Esquiades.com we have prepared special packs for you to enjoy an excellent getaway in the Pyrenees. What are these travel packages? Very simple, if you decide to book them, you will have included a night of hotel + 3 hours entrance to the Caldea Spa Centre + entrance ticket to the Cirque du Soleil show. Dare to book!

This is a pack recommended for children over 5 years old, the minimum age allowed to enter Caldea. In any case, if you are traveling with children from 0 to 3 years old, you will not be able to access this thermolucid center, but you will be able to attend the Cirque du Soleil show sitting on an adult's lap.

We also have the same package available on our website, but also including an entrance to Inúu , the VIP space in Caldea. This package is great to surprise your partner on a weekend. However, keep in mind that the entrance to Inúu is only valid for visitors from 16 years old.

Bonus track: Get organized so you're not late

Tickets for the show will be handed to you at the Caldea reception and you must pick them up at least 2 hours in advance of the show. However, we recommend that you plan your agenda well. If you are going to the Spa Centre and Cirque du Soleil on the same day, we recommend you go to the hot springs soon.

Keep in mind that the visit to Caldea will take you about three hours. To this you have to add about 30 minutes to shower and change yourself, plus a 15 minute walk to the venue where the show takes place. All this considering that you have not forgotten anything at the hotel. If you have to return, well calculate how long it will take you to return and not be late.
